ABOUT US

The Kelly family has been rooted in deep south Texas since the early 1900's Texas oil boom. Carroll Kelly Sr. migrated to this area in 1925 and literally built the small town of Freer, Texas out of what was once a simple oil camp. His children and grandchildren still live, hunt and ranch in this unique, relentless and unforgiving brush country that is famous for it's legendary dark-horned, big-bodied whitetail deer. This specific region of Texas is unrivaled in wildlife abundance and diversity. The south Texas "brush country" is teeming with wildlife such as deer, javelina, wild hogs, quail, dove, wild turkeys, coyotes, bobcats, cougars, snakes and inhabits many of the rarest and most beautiful birds in North America.

The Kelly Ranch is comprised of 2000 acres of prime unspoiled south Texas land. The whitetail herd at Kelly Ranch has been intensely managed for over 20 years, with bucks harvested in 2016 & 2017 winning several categories in the legendary Muy Grande & Los Cazadores deer contests.

Carroll Kelly III and his family have built a ranch and hunting operation with the same passion and grit his grandfather had 100 years earlier. Carroll has spent his entire life hunting, trapping, and guiding hunts in south Texas. He is also one of only 80 officially certified Boone & Crockett scorers in the state of Texas, and is integral knowledge of south Texas wildlife and terrain are unmatched.

We sincerely and humbly invite you to come and share an outdoor hunting experience that you will never forget.

Respectfully,

the Kelly Family
